Hangart Art : Exposition « The House »

For 27 years, I took photographs as I waved good-bye and drove away from visiting my parents at their home in Sioux City, Iowa. I started in 1991 with a quick snapshot, and I continued taking photographs with each departure.

Superbe scénographie pour « The House (The Anonymous Project by Lee Shulman)« .

    The House
The Anonymous Project by Lee Shulman
    23 January – 17 May 2026
The first exhibition, The House, presented by The Anonymous Project and created by Lee Shulman, became one of the highlights of the Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles (2019). Designed as a fully immersive experience, this exhibition goes beyond merely displaying images by recreating the atmosphere of the 1950s. In an era when family photography was an intimate and discreet act, it invites visitors to explore a space where every object, every light, and every image interact to bring memories and everyday gestures to life.
For the first time since its presentation in Arles, The House is being shown at Hangar, marking the first exhibition of The Anonymous Project on Belgian territory. In here, photographs are not simply hung on the walls but are integrated into the space itself, each image finding its place in a domestic setting: kitchen, living room, bedroom.

  • Transcripts of a Sea

    Transcripts of a Sea

The exhibition is the conclusion of a long quest, not only into the depths of a body of water, but also into the essence of artistry – Vanfleteren’s answer to what complete artistic freedom can mean.

In the margins of the exhibition, Basile Rabaey created the short film The Tide Will Bring You Home. This poetic portrait allows us to share in Vanfleteren’s hesitations, love and obsession with the moving water; wading, floating, toiling, engulfed by his inseparable companions at the surf: danger, solitude, melancholy, gloom and euphoria.

(Initial) In this picture can you anonymize the faces of the public ? I want to publish it but I do not have the model release forms for the people on the picture. The singer must remain as is. Thanks.
(Refine 1) I do not want to blur the faces but that you replace them par ai generated faces.
(Refine 2) Can you smoothen the public faces ?

Somerset® Enhanced Satin White is produced by St Cuthberts Mill, based in England. The mill uses a traditional cylinder mould to manufacture a paper that looks and feels as though it is handmade. St Cuthberts Mill have been making paper since the 1700’s, and today manufacturers the Somerset® Enhanced digital fine art range.
The original (photo) paper created in 1999 is being superseded by a paper coated by Canson® Infinity. The same consistent high quality base paper from St Cuthberts Mill, coupled with the Canson® Infinity propriety inkjet coating for superior image quality.

A voir !

  • Restauration ancienne photo

    Restauration ancienne photo
